Anyway, just want to share my experience shopping at Sephora KLCC and what I bought there last Friday.

The point make up items that I currently have are drugstore bought save for a Clarins blusher that was purchased some two years ago and an Estee Lauder lipstick which was a birthday gift from my cousin sis. I rarely buy department store cosmetics or what they call name brand or high end because for one, they are expensive and two – I find shopping for make ups from department store counters can be intimidating. My cousin sis, yeah the one who gave me the EL lipstick is getting married. I needed a more vibrant lipstick colour to wear during the family dinner yesterday so I went to Sephora in KLCC to shop for one. That was the 2nd time I have been there and again, no sales personnel or ‘beauty consultant’ attended to me. Maybe I looked like those type who just want to browse and not buy anything. Better still I guess as I am allowed to roam freely around but I got the feeling that the staff there is haughty and looked down upon me. Definitely not a good shopping experience.

I bought two items: Laura Mercier creme lipstick in Cinnamon and Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP).

I love the colour (makes me feel sexy *wink* ) which is described as warm brown at Laura Mercier’s website. The lipstick has no smell and glides on the lips smoothly but it wasn’t long lasting. Sorry I don’t have a pic of the lipstick on my lips. Next time.

On the famed UDPP, I bought the one in Eden. The other two variants were shimmery and copper/brown toned. Eden is nude matte which comes on a little too peachy for my liking. The primer didn’t bring out the best of my eyeshadow colour. Honestly, I think the eyeshadow looks better without putting on the primer. The eyeshadow lasted though which makes UDPP a favourite of many.

My memories of Penang from the 1st trip – It’s a real small island; bad traffic jam everywhere; good food – are u kidding me?; night scenes; Independence Day celebrations; and motorbikes.

2nd time around: Still bad jam; narrow roads; packed; better food; boat, ferry, sea; hiking; lighthouse; durians.
